The Richmond Green Bolster Bed by Ralph & Co

Every household has one: the dog who circles three times, flops down with a sigh and wants to be left well alone. The Richmond is their private corner, soft-walled and fleecy, in a green that sits as happily in a drawing room as it does by the back door.

Made in a classic soft green fabric with a plush sherpa fleece inner cushion, it brings quiet British style to any room. It comes from Ralph & Co, the British bed makers, designed in Great Britain and handcrafted in Europe.

Why they'll love it

• Wrapped in fleece. A deep sherpa lining holds warmth and makes a soft, calming spot for nesting.
• Somewhere to lean. High, cushioned bolster walls give gentle head and neck support.
• Keeps its shape. A high-bounce virgin fibre core supports joints and holds its shape over time.
• Easy to keep fresh. The covers come off completely and go in the washing machine.
• Stays put. A non-slip base keeps it steady on laminate, hardwood and tiles, with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty.
