Some dogs simply want to be held at the end of a long day: a soft wall to lean against, a rim to rest a chin on, and a base that eases tired joints. The Chatsworth was made for exactly that kind of evening.

Upholstered in a soft beige knit, it sits as happily beside a Georgian sofa as it does in a pared-back modern room, with an orthopaedic heart beneath its good looks. It comes from Ralph & Co, the British bed makers, designed in Great Britain and handcrafted in Europe.

Why they'll love it

  • Kind to joints. An orthopaedic crumb memory foam base contours to the body, relieving pressure on hips and joints.
  • Somewhere to lean. Virgin fibre bolster walls cradle the head and neck and keep their shape over time.
  • Soft to the touch. Upholstery-grade knitted fabric that feels lovely and stands up to daily use.
  • Easy to keep fresh. The zipped covers come off completely and go in the washing machine.
  • Stays put. A non-slip base keeps it steady on wood, stone and tiles, with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty for peace of mind.
